Notification on appointing of MD for AEROSPACE CENTRE OF EXCELLENCE (ACoE)

1.ABOUT:

1. Aerospace Centre Of Excellence (ACoE) is one of India’s first leading resource for imparting education and particular Niche skill-sets in high-technology Aviation, UAS / UAV systems training, Image analytics, Data analytics, Pilot training, Maintenance engineering and Offshore satellite based operations and development centers. It will cater to remotely piloted aircraft, airborne sensors and advanced electric, electronic, wireless and laser technologies.
2. It will be located at the KIADB’s Hi-Tech Park, Devanahalli, Bengaluru (India) and will run as a SPV. It will also have a centrally located corporate office that will cater to student enquiries, administration support, counseling, placement/employment head, finance & other critical department resources including the proposed Managing Director to ensure there is a seamless communication across government sectors and public eco system at least until the ACOE infrastructure is completely functional at KIADB’s Hi-tech Park at Devanahalli, Bengaluru.
3. We currently have an exciting opportunity for a Managing Director of ACoE for setting up and managing the same.

2.DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES OF MD:

1. Should lead the process of development of the Detailed Project Report (DPR) to be presented to Govt. of Karnataka & NSDC for further approvals.
2. Should architect the organisational structure in the most optimal way.
3. Assist with development of project plan(s) and manage resources to ensure project schedule, budget, quality and specification goals are attained.
4. Manage and monitor project schedule, timelines and milestones from inception to delivery to meet project goals.
5. Administer and execute policies, processes, and procedures that impact the assigned project.
6. Develop and deliver progress reports, proposals, requirements documentation and present results to the Board.
7. Maintain the strict confidentiality of sensitive information.
8. Responsible for ensuring all laws, regulations and other applicable obligations are observed wherever and whenever business is conducted on behalf of ACOE and is Responsible for ensuring work is accomplished in a safe manner in accordance with established operating procedures and practices.

4. Age Criterion:

Must be between 30 to 45 years as on 1st April 2017.

5. Educational Qualifications & Work Experience:

1. Minimum of 60% in 10th and 12th board examination.
2. Bachelors in Mechanical Engineering/ Aeronautical Engineering, Electronics & Communication Engineering only from top 50 institutions of the country as ranked by MHRD, GOI.
3. Preferably with Masters in Business Administration (CAT/GMAT qualified) with minimum 75% or a 3 by 4 CGPA.
4. Five or more years of progressively complex experience in the management field in a top rated financial institution & in management consulting wing of a top rated IT/ITES establishment.

6.Requirements:

1. Must have thorough understanding of UAV/UAS systems with hands on knowledge of the Domain.
2. Must have a thorough understanding of project management processes and procedures, planning and scheduling methods, and budget management as well as the ability to organize, schedule, and coordinate workloads to meet established milestones and budgets.
3. Preferably have internation exposure (preferably USA/Canada) on cutting edge technology solutions available for collaboration/JV/partnership as per prevailing market condition and strategic positioning of ACoE

7.Must possess:

1. The ability to initiate, plan and manage projects
2. The ability to identify issues, analyze and interpret data and develop solutions to a wide range of Aviation issues;
3. Strong computer skills, documentation, presentation, communication & interpersonal skills;
4. The ability to work independently and as part of a team.
5. The ability to work extended hours and travel as required.

8.Salary would be as per the industry standards.
